Scorpio Pictures, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Kevin Summerfield who began his career in commercials including Dr. Pepper and the live action variation of the WB Frog during the debut season of the WB network. He has also appeared in numerous independent feature films including SHE'S TOO TALL, which starred Corey Feldman and George Hamilton. Kevin branched out into producing and directing independent feature films including the low budget horror film SLEEPY HOLLOW HIGH, which became the 5th top selling Halloween title for Wal-Mart in 2000 & 2001. MAX MAGICIAN AND THE LEGEND OF THE RINGS marked his debut 35mm feature film. His credits also include producing and directing the kid's drama THE LOST STALLIONS, a coming-of-age story about a group of kids who set out on an afternoon adventure in search of a prized thoroughbred, as well as, writing, producing and directing the family/fantasy film THE ADVENTURES OF YOUNG VAN HELSING. He recently completed co-producing the family horse racing drama THE DERBY STALLION starring Bill Cobbs (THE BODYGUARD, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM) and Zac Efron (HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, HAIRSPRAY) which he developed in-house under Scorpio Pictures and sold the property to TWD Enterprises for ImageWorks Entertainment International.

He is currently developing the thriller DEVIL's POET, based on actual events with Johnathon Schaech (PROM NIGHT, 8MM2, THAT THING YOU DO) attached to star as well as producing the comedy pilot puppet series CLASSROOM JUBBLIES.
